My journey into women’s health began in the messy middle - supporting clients and loved ones who were burnt out, overwhelmed and feeling betrayed by their bodies after 40.

I kept hearing the same story: “I’m doing everything right, but nothing’s working.”

So I began digging deeper - into hormones, nervous system regulation, metabolic repair and functional nutrition.

I'm vegan (or vegetarian). Can I still join your program?

We deeply respect all dietary choices and the values that guide them. However, our program is rooted in the bioenergetic approach to health, which emphasizes restoring optimal energy production at the mitochondrial level.

This process requires consistent intake of highly bioavailable nutrients — particularly from sources like dairy, gelatin, shellfish, and other easily digestible animal proteins — which are central to supporting mitochondrial respiration, reducing stress signaling, and restoring hormonal balance.

While some vegetarians (especially those who include dairy and eggs) may be able to adapt parts of the program, a fully vegan diet typically lacks key metabolic-supportive nutrients, such as:

* Saturated fats that protect against PUFA-induced mitochondrial damage

* Complete proteins with balanced amino acid profiles (especially glycine, proline, and methionine in correct ratios)

* Retinol (true vitamin A) and active thyroid-supportive B vitamins like B12

* Cholesterol, which is a precursor for hormone synthesis and cellular repair

For this reason, to maintain the integrity and effectiveness of the program, we currently recommend it only to those willing to incorporate certain animal-based foods.

That said, we're always happy to provide resources and guidance on metabolically supportive practices for all individuals, regardless of dietary preference.

Is this program low-carb or keto?

Not at all.

Our program is based on increasing carbohydrate intake, especially from fruit, root vegetables, honey, dairy, and other easy-to-digest sources. That’s because glucose is the preferred fuel of the mitochondria, and restricting carbs forces the body into a stress-driven, fat-oxidation state - which over time can suppress thyroid function, slow metabolism, and increase cortisol.

We focus on nourishing the body with adequate carbohydrate and protein, so it can get out of the stress state and return to optimal energy production.

I’m worried about my hormones - will this help?

Yes — this program is specifically designed with women over 40 in mind, supporting the natural hormonal shifts that come with perimenopause and beyond.

Instead of chasing symptoms, we focus on restoring energy production at the cellular level, because hormones are a downstream reflection of metabolic health.
